Nvidia and SK Hynix are expected to announce a new cooperation plan on Monday, highlighting the growing partnership between two of the most important companies in the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor industry. The announcement is expected to come during a media briefing involving SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
The collaboration comes at a time when global demand for AI hardware continues to surge. Nvidia, the world’s leading AI chipmaker, relies heavily on advanced memory products supplied by SK Hynix, particularly high-bandwidth memory (HBM), which is essential for powering AI accelerators and data centers.
Speaking to reporters in Seoul, Huang hinted at upcoming announcements and emphasized the broad scope of Nvidia’s work with industry partners. “We’re working across many industries from AI supercomputers to CPUs to new PCs and robotics. So we are here to plan and maybe tomorrow we have some announcements,” Huang said.
The Nvidia chief also issued a warning about ongoing supply constraints affecting the semiconductor industry. According to Huang, shortages are not expected to ease anytime soon.
“The whole industry supply chain everything from wafers to packaging to silicon photonics everything’s in short supply because the demand is so high. It is going to persist for several years,” he stated.
The expected partnership announcement underscores the increasing importance of cooperation between chip designers and memory manufacturers as AI adoption accelerates worldwide. Investors and industry observers will closely watch Monday’s briefing for details on how Nvidia and SK Hynix plan to strengthen their supply chain and support the next generation of AI technologies.
